No.012_2 WARM SHOCK TV

Warm Shock TV is creating entertaining comedic parody videos with the aim of providing ‘warm shocks’ to your life. In Episode 1, it features a cooking video introducing the process of making An (Japanese sweet red bean paste), referred to as ‘An Therapy.’ Yuka Sato, through meditation and the spiritual realm, creates sweet red bean paste with ‘An-cestor.’

Episode 2, ‘Big B-An-G,’ showcases different ways to enjoy the created sweet red bean paste, exploring delicious combinations and introducing how to appreciate it for those unfamiliar with traditional Japanese sweet red bean paste. The content invites viewers to ‘Nirvarn-An’ through the pleasure of food.

The science parody comedy ‘Look Around You,’ broadcasted on the BBC in the 2000s, was a significant inspiration during the creation of Warm Shock TV. The appeal of its comedic elements, the close alignment of its content with science and cooking, and above all, the aesthetic sensibility of ‘Look Around You’ resonated strongly with us. We appreciated the serious approach to the absurdities that make you want to interject with commentary. Consequently, Warm Shock TV was crafted to exude a slightly retro and low-tech ambiance, influenced by these aspects.
